Review

At the end of 2005, Jimena Gondra (vocals) contacted Leonardo Sosa (guitar and vocals) to ask him whether he would like to join a band that would blend the energy of rock and roll with the elegance of pop, to act in the glamorous setting of Punta del Este. This was the beginning of their work at Citrus restaurant, in the season of 2006.

Soon Mateo Cabrera (drums) and Rafael Pucciano (bass) joined the project, and completed the first format of the band they decided to call GLAM.

Citrus was the venue of their debut, where they continued to play in 2006 and 2007.

Later they played at other exclusive venues like Miró and Moby Dick in 2007 and 2008 / 09 respectively.

After a few changes to the original configuration they recorded their first album in 2007, the Demo tour 2008 at Estudios MT, Punta del Este, with Pablo "Pil" Cardozo on the drums.

Currently the band is formed by Jimena and Leonardo, with Pablo Farías on drums and Leonardo Furdek on the bass.

Glam II

This is a diversification of the band to cover specific client requirements, as when less band members are needed because of spatial reasons, or when a different repertoire is requested that involves a genre substantially different from the rock-pop style of the full band.

In this way GLAM adapts its style to dinners, opening nights, cocktails, etc., with the presence of a sensual voice, subtle backing vocals and nylon strings in an electroacoustic duet format.

This unplugged version of GLAM can be enjoyed at the AWA boutique + design Hotel of Punta del Este, which offers the band’s performance as part of its exclusive services.



The Searchers was born as a project to blend rhythms, songs and classics with current trends, giving a special "touch" to each interpretation. In this quest for a personal view of music, Brazilian reggae is translated into Spanish, tumbaos are mixed with pop, skas with oldies and so on.

Our musical present is influenced by our musical past, leading to the future. The Beatles, Bob Marley, Elvis, Sublime, Cat Stevens, Armandinho are the authors of some of our selected songs.
